why being proactive is your biggest career booster

No pain, no gain - and I'm not talking about fitness booty trends. Asking successful people about how they achieved what they've achieved always turns out to be the same paradigm: You have to work hard and you must not, under all circumstances, sit around and wait for your career jump.
So especially now when studying became average and industries became more and more concentrated, you have to make yourself someone special in order to reach the goals you want to achieve. "Fake it 'til you make it" or "Speak shit to existence" has become my mantra for career affairs and I'm sure it will once help me to achieve my goals.

1. Being passionate about what you do

First of all, having a passion for your field will be the essential must-have you need in order to get the jobs you want. Passion and fun are the only things that will keep you going on the long-term. If you're passionate about what you do it will be no problem for you to manage the second step.

2. Be proactive

A lot of industries want people who show their own initiative. The best jobs will never be on job exchanges! Great entrepreneurs want their employees to really SEARCH for the jobs they offer. So it's very important to get creative, look for companies you would like to work in and check out their career offers.

3. Don't underestimate investments and small events

A lot of people underestimate the jobs that you do "for free". Unpaid internships, temporary jobs at festivals or fairs could help you meeting the people you need in order to get the jobs you want! Especially public events about your sector will give you insight in the everyday obligations your dream job will entail and at the same time might give you precious contacts for later. Be active, get out, inform yourself about events and be present. The more they see you the less they're likely to forget you!

4. Get inspired

There are tons of great books about successful women! #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso or various podcasts on iTunes might be the exact thing you need to get motivation!

By the way, I had some outfits idea I wanted to show you guys so that's what happens when you're passionate about clothing but too lazy to put make-up on lol.
