Modern Vibez - artKarlsruhe Impressions

The artKarlsruhe, an international fair for Classic Modern and Contemporary Art was taking place for the 13th time last week. The impressions were almost too much to grasp and so we took pictures, like usual, and let them speak for us...

Being provided a surface of 35.000 qm, over 280 art galleries from European countries exhibited their artist's works. I honestly don't know if 3 days would have been enough to see all of the fantastic pieces in the fair halls.

Whether political, socially critical or just beautiful to watch - the exhibitions had their very own charme and it was absolutely awesome to have such a variety in this place. Statements like "Je suis not Trump" were the proof that art has a huge impact on society - a bigger impact than some would accept.
Talking about nihilistic Donald: The narcissist, who thinks science is a useless hobby and art is money, was a big theme at the fair. While being a popular motive for critical art, Trump is becoming more and more a satire of himself.

The criticism which is being created in the debate with society, the environment or politics is absolutely crucial to find innovations and improvements.
I don't want to go too much in detail but art fairs in general have a certain atmosphere and I wish for all of you to catch that one day.

Quickly more about what I was wearing for the vernissage:
